My Journey

“Sometimes the only way to get home is the road you travel all alone.”

From San Francisco to Georgia, Georgia to Boston, Boston to LA, LA to Texas, and Texas back home—Carrie never expected to return to Northern California, where she grew up. Yet now that she’s back, it feels like exactly where she’s supposed to be.

Music has always lived within Carrie. If her mother were playing the piano at home, Carrie was right there, singing along. She’s no stranger to the stage; her first solo was at four years old in church. A fiercely enthusiastic child, who never accepted “no” when it came to pursuing anything music-related, grew into an adult with bold determination to chase her dreams.

While attending Berklee College of Music, Carrie was awarded both the World Tour Scholarship and the Solo and Performance Scholarship. She has had the honor of performing for David Foster, Al Kooper, and Shirley Horn. She was nominated for LA Singer-Songwriter of the Year and was offered both a record deal and a publishing deal from Warner Brothers Music after writing and recording her alt-country album, "Burned." Carrie was humbled and inspired by the contributions of Greg Leisz, Jay Bellerose, and Jennifer Condos on the album. She has also had the pleasure of touring with The White Buffalo, Mark Broussard, and opening for Butch Walker.

After a much-needed creative hiatus, Carrie is excited to dive back into music. With a heart full of stories from the good, the bad, the painful, and the joyous, she’s ready to bring her authentic voice and passion back to the writing circle. She is also eager to share the tools of the trade she has learned during her time at Berklee and as a professional musician. One of Carrie's fortes is storytelling songwriting and weaving vocal harmonies throughout the songs. Whether it’s songwriting, vocal performance, or stage presence, Carrie looks forward to mentoring kids and adults who share the same bold curiosity and desire for music.
